My name is Marco Aurelio Ress, I am a 5th-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with over 35 years of dedicated training and 28 years of daily teaching experience. Throughout my career, I have developed not only a deep technical understanding of the art, but also a strong passion for mentoring and developing others.

In addition to my background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, I hold a brown belt in Judo and a black belt in Karate, which have further strengthened my understanding of grappling, striking, and overall martial arts philosophy.

As a competitor, I have achieved significant success, including becoming a two-time IBJJF World Champion and an IBJJF Pan Champion, along with numerous other titles. These accomplishments reflect my discipline, consistency, and commitment to excellence.

As an instructor, I take great pride in having promoted 25 students to black belt, many of whom have gone on to build successful paths of their own. In addition, I previously owned and operated three academies in Brazil, where I was responsible for training programs, student development, and daily operations. I have also been invited to teach seminars at academies outside of my own, where I was hired to share my knowledge and train other instructors and students.

I have extensive experience teaching a wide range of students, including children, adults, and women-only classes with a strong focus on self-defense. Additionally, I have conducted specialized training programs for law enforcement and military personnel in Brazil and USA, adapting my teaching approach to meet the specific demands of these groups.

I am deeply committed to sharing my knowledge, fostering a positive training environment, and helping students reach their full potential both on and off the mat. I am excited about the opportunity to bring my experience, leadership, and passion to your team.
